Abbey Stone

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

Abbey is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at Mandala House. Abbey earned her bachelor of science in human biology and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville. 

Abbey’s approach is shaped by the principles of feminist therapy which understands that our unique intersecting identities shape how we experience this world, and that much of our distress is due to disempowerment, marginalization, and expectations tied to our identities. They approach therapy as a collaborative process with the client-therapist relationship at the center. Abbey enjoys working with young adults and adolescents, LGBTQ+ folx, as well as adults through the lifespan. She is experienced with issues of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, interpersonal trauma, PTSD, identity and personal growth, as well as the complexities of relationships.
Abbey lives with her partner, their dog, and many, many plants. She enjoys getting outside, reading, and playing trivia with friends.
