Peace through Process

Our Philosophy

We see therapy as an engaged process between two or more persons with the goal of reducing psychological suffering and increasing inner and interpersonal states of peace. We believe a relationship between patient and clinician founded on trust, acceptance, and compassion is a requisite for attaining this goal. Additionally, we view this relationship as collaborative, wherein a patient and clinician will explore, question, challenge, and discover. We believe that the path to peace is through process and know from experience that this path requires hard work.

“What’s not to like about this?
Being heard.
Being seen.
Knowing we belong.
Knowing we matter to someone else.
Making meaning together...”

Our Team

We have a growing multi-disciplinary team of licensed mental health therapists, a psychiatrist, an art instructor, medical assistants, and trained office staff.

Our Services

Mandala House offers access to psychotherapy, psychiatric, psychological assessment, and neurofeedback treatment under one roof. Our collaborative, comprehensive-service center allows for efficient service delivery as well as intentional collaboration among providers. This continuity of relationship has been noted to be the single most important factor in maintaining stability for patients within the least-restrictive level of mental health care.

We offer therapy in multiple modalities tailored to best address presenting problems and meet identified therapeutic goals.

  • Individual Therapy

  • Couple Therapy

  • Family Therapy

  • Group Therapy

We offer a range of assessment services from single measure to a comprehensive battery. Assessments provide additional data which may be necessary for:

  • Differential diagnosis in complex cases

  • Diagnosis and Intervention Planning for Learning Differences/Disabilities or Attention Deficits

  • Informing Treatment Planning and Therapy Goals

Creative workshops

We offer creative workshops facilitated for people of all skill levels. In these workshops you will create a unique piece of art that can be enjoyed on its own or further explored in your primary therapy relationship.

Initial sessions with our psychiatrist are approximately one hour in length and include a thorough biopsychosocial assessment and review of systems to determine if medication is recommended to assist you in meeting your treatment goals. Following the initial session, shorter sessions at regular intervals are an important part in monitoring progress and dosage, as well as managing medication changes and/or side effects.

NeurOptimal® builds brain resilience (think: the central nervous system’s ability to “bounce back” from a negative events). Negative feelings associated with conflict or bad day at work/school can hover hours after the actual event has passed. The destructive effect of negative/repetitive/self-critical thinking is magnified even more in severe events (physical/emotional trauma). Instead of staying stuck in the negativity of these events, the resilient brain will snap back and return to its normal baseline more quickly. Individuals with a more resilient brain report feeling happier & at peace.

Our Impact

Since opening our doors in Fall 2016, we’ve had the honor of working with individuals from all across the Louisville Metropolitan and surrounding areas. We firmly believe all individuals should have access to quality mental healthcare and support accessibility in location, building, and insurance.
