Jonathan understands that everyone faces challenges and difficulties in life, and that there are times we might need a helping hand. In his work, he highlights each person's strengths, and approaches each person with empathy and curiosity to help transform challenges into opportunities for growth. He uses an integrative treatment approach to support and guide his patients toward their goals.
Jonathan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapy Associate who graduated from the University of Louisville’s Social Work program earning a Master of Science in Social Work with a specialization in Couple and Family Therapy in May 2020. During his time at University, he gained experience working with adolescents and their families on crisis intervention at The Brook Hospital, individuals coping with conversion disorder at University of Louisville’s Neurology Clinic, and with geriatric patients managing end of life issues. Before completing his MSSW, Jonathan attended SOAS, University of London where he completed his BA in Social Anthropology. During this time, he collaborated with organizations from different cultures and communities and is dedicated to providing quality culturally competent therapy.
Jonathan is a native of Britain and has called Louisville home for the past 8 years. Jonathan values a “common factors” approach that highlights the importance of the therapeutic alliance and the role of hope in creating change. He also takes a pragmatic approach and seeks to find the shortest path to successful outcomes.
