Randall Cole

Certified Social Worker

Randall Cole, MSSW, is a Certified Social Worker under the capable supervision of Ariel Brooks, LCSW. Randall graduated with honors from the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work and Family Sciences. He returned to graduate school after several years to pursue his goal of becoming a therapist guided by ethics and the values of social work. He previously graduated from Wabash College in Indiana, including a year abroad at the Université de Dakar, in Senegal, West Africa where he studied African Political History and Francophone African Literature.

Randall has worked throughout his career in mission-driven organizations committed to promoting education and social justice. He has used his background in communications to work and volunteer in many organizations nationally and internationally on issues important to him, such as animal welfare, environmental protection, peace, international education, and supporting youth and families minoritized on the basis of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or neurodivergence.

Inspired by his mother's story of how a social worker in Louisville changed her life, Randall pursued his own dream of becoming a clinical social worker to be able to help people directly who face their own uncertainties and need support.

Randall believes that families come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and each individual, family and community possesses inherent dignity and the right to self-determination. He sees the role of a therapist as an ally and resource in accompanying his clients on their sacred journey to happiness, peace, and fulfillment as they define it for themselves.

Randall is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers and member of the Kentucky Chapter of the NASW.

Randall lives in Louisville with his partner, their two children and their two dogs.

* Randall is licensed with the KY State Board of Social Work as a CSW under the supervision of Ariel Brooks, LCSW-S.
