Valerie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, holding a Masters degree from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, since 2012.   Specializing in working with adults, couples, and teens, she has a history of working with a variety of symptoms, including depression, anxiety, anger, relationship issues, trauma, behavior issues and feeling stuck.  

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Valerie began her career after earning her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Louisville.  She worked at Bellwood Home for Children as a therapeutic aid with the Family Restoration Program assisting parents and their children, restoring healthy family interactions and relationships. She  worked at a community mental health agency aiding adults in crisis after their children were returned home post-CPS intervention.   Since 2017, she operated a private practice in the West End of Louisville, serving disadvantaged and underserved families.   


As a military veteran with over 20 years of service in the Navy Active, Air National Guard, and ANG Active and Navy Reserves,  Valerie brings a wealth of experience to her therapeutic approach. A family systems trained therapist, she values the power of relationships and emphasizes a collaborative therapeutic alliance with each client, working from a strength-based perspective.

Valerie is committed to providing a safe and welcoming space for clients on their journey, guiding them through challenges toward understanding, learning, confidence, and the utilization of their strengths for lasting resolve and peace.
